How do I get a library card?Library cards are issued to persons three (3) years or older. Youth 3 years old through 17 years old require a parent or guardian signature. We have a form you can fill out. Your FREE library card gives you access to all lending materials. Adults may check out up to five (5) books and two (2) DVD’s or audible books for a period of two (2) weeks. Youth may check out two (2) items for two (2) weeks.

How do I get a library card for children?Complete the library card application with parent/guardian information at top and youth information at the bottom. Please use one application for each child ages 3 through 17 years. Parent/guardian signature required for children under the age of 17.

How do I log into the Biblionix Catalog?First, go to https://carrizozo.biblionix.com/catalog/ In the upper right corner enter your library card number, you do not need all the zeros (e.g., 000406, enter as 406) your password is your phone number used on your library card application (e.g., 575.648.2595) or create your own 4-digit password and remember it! Click log in and view the catalog.

How do I reserve materials for check-out?In catalog, select material you would like to check out, click on item. Click on “Reserve this item,” in next box click “place reserve” you will receive notice your item is ready for pick-up.

How does Curbside Pickup work?After you reserve materials in the catalog, you will receive notice to pick them up the following Wednesday, between 2pm-6pm. Let us know when you arrive by calling 575-648-2595 or simply knock on the front library door and we will bring your items to you. To return material, please use the BLUE RETURN BOX next to the door

How do I renew a book?Call library 575.648.2595, have your library card number and the book handy. Come into the library. Renewal will not be possible if there is a request (hold) on the item. Library patron is responsible for all materials checked out on their card.

How do I reserve the meeting room?Carrizozo Library’s goal is to provide the informational, educational, recreational and cultural needs of our community by providing a location for publicly accessible meetings for organizations and individuals. General guidelines include: *Carrizozo Library sponsored events will have precedence in scheduling. *Carrizozo Library does not necessarily advocate nor endorse the views of meetings or meeting room users. *No collection of admission fees, sales of products or services nor other direct fundraising activities is permitted, unless for the benefit of the library. *All reservations are first come/first served. Call or email the library for further information.
